HushFloat — ambient sound mixer for Android

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how HushFloat ("the app"), published by Mehran Systems ("we", "us"), handles information when you use the app. HushFloat is an ambient sound mixer for focus, sleep and calm. It works on your device: you don't need an account, and we never ask for your name, email address or phone number to use it.

2. Information we collect

We do not collect personal information that identifies you directly. The mixes you create, your favourites and your timer settings stay on your device. Limited technical information — such as device model, operating system version, app version and your device's advertising ID — may be processed by the third-party advertising and crash-reporting services described below.

3. Audio & background playback

HushFloat plays audio — it never records it. The app does not request or use your microphone. So your mix can keep playing when the screen is off or you switch apps, HushFloat uses background playback with a media notification that lets you pause or stop at any time. On newer Android versions the app may ask permission to show this notification; you can decline it in your settings.

4. Storage & favourites

Your saved mixes, favourites, volume levels and sleep-timer preferences are stored locally in the app's private storage on your device, together with the sounds bundled with the app. We have no access to this data.

5. Ads

HushFloat is free to use and shows ads, including a banner ad. Ads are provided by Google AdMob, a third-party ad network. AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising ID, IP address and general usage information to serve, measure and, where permitted, personalise ads. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your device's Google settings. See how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

6. Analytics & crash reporting

To keep the app stable we may use a crash-reporting service, such as Firebase Crashlytics, which collects diagnostic data when the app crashes — for example device model, OS version, app version and technical logs. This data does not include your mixes or favourites and is used only to find and fix problems.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share your mixes, favourites or listening habits with anyone. Information is processed only by the third-party providers named in this policy, under their own privacy policies, or where we are required to do so by law.

8. Data retention & deletion

Your mixes and favourites stay on your device until you delete them. You can remove them in the app, or delete everything by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling HushFloat. Data processed by third-party providers is kept according to their own retention policies.

9. Children's privacy

HushFloat is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

10. Security

Because your data is stored on your device, its protection also depends on your device's security, such as a screen lock. We rely on the security features provided by Android and work with reputable third-party providers, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know in the app or on our Google Play listing.
