ScanForge ("the App") is developed and maintained by Mehran Systems. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

We use third-party services that may collect certain information automatically:

• Google Analytics for Firebase: Collects anonymous usage data such as app launch events, feature usage frequency, crash reports, device type, and operating system version. This data is aggregated and cannot identify individual users.
• Google AdMob: Displays advertisements within the App. AdMob may collect and use your device's Advertising ID to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device's settings.

2.3 Camera Permission

The App requires camera access solely for the purpose of scanning barcodes and QR codes. Camera data is processed in real-time on your device and is never transmitted to any server.

2.4 Other Permissions

• Internet: Required for displaying ads and sending anonymous analytics.
• WiFi State: Used by the optional Desktop Companion feature to host a local web server on your network.
• Vibrate: Provides haptic feedback on successful scans.
• Contacts / Calendar / Location: Only accessed when you choose to save scanned contact, calendar event, or location data. Never accessed without your explicit action.

3. Data Storage

All scan history, bookmarks, and generated codes are stored locally on your device using the app's private storage. No scan data is uploaded to any external server or cloud service.

You can delete all stored data at any time through the app's Settings screen.

The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google Analytics for Firebase
• Google AdMob

5. Advertising

ScanForge uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may use your device's Advertising ID and other data to provide personalized advertising. You can opt out of personalized advertising by:

• Going to your device's Settings → Google → Ads
• Enabling "Opt out of Ads Personalization"

6. Children's Privacy

ScanForge is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

7. Data Security

We employ industry-standard security measures. Since all user data remains on-device, the risk of data breach through our services is minimal. The Desktop Companion feature uses PIN-based authentication and operates only on your local network.
